Greenbridge

Greenbridge, located in Chapel Hill, NC, was named one of the 2008 ten most sustainable developments in America by Natural Home Magazine.  Greenbridge is a unique mixed-use project designed by William McDonough, a leading international green architect.

Consisting of 98 condominium residences and 35,000 square foot retail/parking throughout the total 216,850 square foot area, this development seeks to serve as a model of sustainable development providing comfortable, convenient living in a beautiful, eco-friendly setting.

Greenbridge StormceptorThe Greenbridge residences will use 50% less energy than nearby structures.  To facilitate this savings, Warco installed waste water and vent systems to support the solar thermal hot water and water sourced heat pumps for all the buildings.

Warco installed a 7,200 gallon Stormceptor system.  With additional storage tanks to minimalize storm water impact to the existing storm water infra-structure, the Stormceptor system will capture rainwater runoff and provide a sustainable site credit for LEED certification.

The uncommon opportunities of a mixed-use LEED building were managed by Warco's experienced LEED AP certified staff.

Warco is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and Associated Builders & Contractors.
