In May of 2008, Warco undertook renovations of the East and West sides of
Kidd Brewer Stadium at Appalachian State University (ASU). The East side included men’s, women’s and family restrooms and concessions, and the West side included restrooms and concessions.
The Warco prefabrication shop manufactured the rough-ins for 105 toilets and 46 lavatories for the East side restrooms. These rough-ins were then transported to the job site and installed within 3 days, reducing traditional construction time by weeks.
In the West side, 67 toilets and 47 lavatories were installed as well as hand sinks for the concession stands.
The entire four-month project was completed in time for opening kickoff in September 2008.
In the second phase of renovations at the stadium during the summer of 2009, Warco completed the Southside restrooms and the Field House hydrotherapy tub room for athletes.
These restrooms encompassed 49 toilets, 34 lavatories and 4 urinals over a 4000 square foot area.
The Field House Hydrotherapy Tub room is expressly designed for ASU athletes and utilizes the restorative capabilities of hydrotherapy for conditioning and recuperation. Three separate tubs were installed: treadmill tub, hot tub and polar tub.
This job was completed within a 3-month time period, on time and on budget.
